Impact of Bankers Bonuses on the Economy Research Paper

Impact of Bankers Bonuses on the Economy - Research Paper Example A qualitative analysis would be conducted in order to accomplish the objectives of this research study, for which both primary as well as secondary data would be collected. The secondary data would be collected through authentic print as well as online sources, while for collecting primary data; a focus group interview would be conducted among 10 respondents. The spectacular collapse of financial institutions and banks has raised questions that link the bank executives and the payments that they received for their performance. Thomas Philippon and Ariell Reshef in their research report had mentioned that in the year 2000, the salary that the executives received in the banking sector were augmented by about 40 percent, in spite of having the same qualification (Fox, 2009). They were also offered stocks and other equity options in order to avoid their practice of short-termism. It was found that the level of pay of the executives increased dramatically in comparison to the non-executive s (The Independent, 2009). Standard & Poor 500 stated that the average total pay of the CEOs has increased to 10.5 million during the year 2008 from $850,000 in the 1970s. 1.2 Research Problem The research problem revolves around bankers’ bonus and its effect on the economy. This is because it was found that even during the economic crisis when the banks were collapsing, their bankers were receiving the hefty bonus for their performance, which is an underlying cause of financial crisis. 1.3 Research Aim and Objective The aim of this research paper is to identify the relationship between bankers’ bonus and the global economy. In order to fulfill this aim, the objective of the researcher would be to analyze the payment structure in the banking sector, which also includes the bonus. Secondly, the cause and effect of bonus payment on the financial status of the banks during the financial crisis would be also examined. Thirdly, the issues would be identified in order to pre sent the wrong practices if any in this regard. 1.4 Research Questions The research questions have been formulated in line with the aims and objectives of this research study; they are stated below: Q1: Did the bankers receive a bonus during the financial downturn? If yes, then how much? Q2: What was the financial status of the banks which distributed bonus to its executives? Q3: What payment of bonus to bankers an underlying reason which added to the financial crisis?   Bankers’ bonuses are awarded to the workers in the banking and finance industry, which was traditionally paid at the end of the year with the intention of rewarding employees. This was a way to appreciate their contribution to the growth and development of the organization. However, the present scenario of bankers’ bonus can be better explained through Peter Ducker’s words. He stated that when the bosses themselves get over indulged in the corporate trough, they tend to lose respect in the org anization.  Ã‚

Advantages and disadvantages of alternative dispute resolution over Assignment

Advantages and disadvantages of alternative dispute resolution over litigation in international business - Assignment Example According to the American Bar Association, ADR is an â€Å"an array of non-binding and binding dispute resolution methods that entail the application of third-party neutrals to help the parties in contract controversies through a systematic settlement process† (ABA, 1999).2 Similarly the United States Code in section 571 explains that ADR comprises of the following aspects, conciliation, facilitation, mediation, fact-finding, mini-trials, arbitration and ombudsmen, the above aspects can be combined in ADR. As noted by Shamir ADR is applied in different civil law policy situations, and not just in global Institutionalized in a lot of court systems and justice systems around the world.3 Though ADR is accepted by globally, it has some disadvantages, thus this paper aims at examining the advantages of ADR over litigation. For clarity of the issue, the paper will begin by giving an overview of the concept of ADR. Use and Cost of litigation According to Nolan-Haley litigation has be en mostly used as a traditional way of resolving disputes, whether they are local or international business transactions.4 Prior to the introduction and development of ADR process such as arbitration, the only formal method or resolving disputes between two or more parties was litigation. In the same way equity was introduced in the English legal justice system which came in stages to control the ruthlessness and inflexibility of the common law, is the way ADR was introduced to control litigation. Litigation is a costly process for businesses, particularly in cases that involve significant issues such as patent, infringement, breach of important business contracts, antitrust laws and securities. In these cases, a lot of money could be lost by a company. For example Real Networks Inc, a public traded company in its 2004 annual press report indicated that it has used about 15,000,000 in only one antitrust litigation case.5 This goes on to show how costly litigation is, and this aspect of court cases is well known to companies. It is because of such cases that ADR methods have become more popular as a way of resolving disputes. Indeed, records from the American Arbitration Association indicated that in 2005 alone, the number of cases forward to the body was 142,000, an increase from 159,000 recorded in 2004. However, the most common ADR method used to resolve disputes is arbitration, which in the past ten years has been highly used by various companies in resolving their disputes. Shamir explains that, the high costs of litigations are caused by the long duration related with litigation. In many cases, litigation goes on for years before a conclusion is made.6 This occurs owing to the slow system of the courts and judges in completing cases and the many adjournments made. Therefore as the cases drags on, the costs also keeps increasing. In other cases, the net expenses of litigation can be impacted by other factors like the sum of money under dispute, the nature of the legal representative , the nature of the dispute (if its local or international) and the length of case. This means that the total cost of the litigation can not be predicated correctly and this makes budgeting for such a litigation to be a tough call. A good example is a case that involved AMOCO CATs7, which ended up as a high profile case. The amount of money spend on that case from the time the case started to the end of the case was 12 million pounds. Again, in another case of Amoco V. British American Offshore, the legal expenses of that case stood

Software Development, QA, Anti-Piracy Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Software Development, QA, Anti-Piracy - Essay Example al havoc upon corporate entities, the strategies which companies employ for both the design and implementation of their corporate policies are of singular importance. Referring to both theory and practice, this essay will investigate the strategies companies utilize for the design and implementation of their security policies. Todorov (2007) highlights the imperatives of implementing physical security policies. Even while conceding to the importance of automated, computer-mediated security systems, Todorov (2007) contends that the importance of physically securing sensitive sites within a company cannot be overlooked. Concurring, Fernandez and Sinibaldi (2003) explain that the securitization of sensitive physical sites within a corporate structure is comprised of four principle components. First is the management of physical locations, whereby the access control system policy should be designed and implemented with the purpose of controlling access to locations/sites. Second is the control of who may access a restricted room. As different types of employees may have access to different areas/sites within the company, it is necessary to implement an authentication and authorization role-based access control system. The said role-based access control system does not simply identify who may and may not acces s particular sites but keeps logs with appropriate auditing facilities of the employees who entered each room at any particular time and date. Thirdly is the design and implementation of application interfaces which allow administrators to create new permissions, users and locations which, in turn, would allow supervisors to generate audit reports to survey access to rooms and to allow users to change passwords, among others (Fernandez and Sinibaldi, 2003). The often technology mediated securitization of access to physical sites is dictated by the imperatives of ensuring that no unauthorized persons are able to gain access to sensitive data or, indeed,

He also cares about the employees because he hopes that all the employees can show the perfect work performance. Since the Shangri-La provided a service to customer and without a good work performance, the customers were not satisfied. This reason might cause a bad image. As a result, there will be less and less customers come to Shangri-La Hotel. Without good employees, an organization is hard to have any improvement or changes. As a result, Shangri-La hotel is provide the best service to the customers and the employees were provide the best work performance all the time moreover Shangri-La Hotel could achieve their objective easily. When Shangri-La Hotel is maintain the vision this can help them to achieve their mission. This is because good employees can ensure that the way to delight each customers for every time they visit. Vision is more like a tool to ensure that the mission and objective is being achieved. There are relationship between vision, mission and objective. Task 2 (Loc 1: Ac 2) Considering the benefits to stakeholders is an integral part of the companys existence. Briefly explain the importance of stakeholder analysis to (SKL). 2.0 Definition of stakeholder Stakeholder can be defined as person, group or organization that has direct or indirect stake in an organization because it can affect or be an affected by the organizations actions, objectives and policies. Key stakeholders in a business organization include creditors, customers, directors, employees, government (and its agencies), owners (shareholder), suppliers, unions, and the community from which the business draws its resources. Although stake-holding is usually self-legitimizing, all stakeholders are not equal and different stakeholders are entitled to different considerations. Stakeholder can defined as a party with an interest in an organisation, e.g. employees, customers, suppliers or the local community. This is due to the effect that the organisations activities will have on them, although they are a third party in that they are outside of the organisation. It can also be used to describe people who will be affected by a project, or who can influence it, but who are not directly involved in doing the work. Stakeholders are an integral part of a project. They are the end-users or clients, the people from whom requirements will be drawn, the people who will influence the design and, ultimately, the people who will reap the benefits of your completed project. It is extremely important to involve stakeholders in all phases of your project for two reasons: Firstly, experience shows that their involvement in the project significantly increases your chances of success by building in a self-correcting feedback loop; secondly, involving them in your project builds confidence in your product and will greatly ease its acceptance in your target audience. There are different types of stakeholders and each type should be handled differently. 2.1 Definition of stakeholder analysis The definition of stakeholder analysis is means managerial step taken to identify each stakeholders level of interest or involvement in a given project and how that involvement can influence the project. Based on this analysis, project managers may alter how a project will be executed or decide the necessary steps that must be taken in order to limit a stakeholders influence over the project. The first step in stakeholder analysis is identifying major stakeholder groups. The groups of stakeholder who will be affected either direct or indirect by or have an effect on the firms strategy and its execution can run the scope from employees to customers. In Shangri-La Hotel, director, business partner and investor is playing an important characteristic because their decisions can affect the whole organization performance. They are very influence stakeholder for Shangri-La Hotel. For example, if one of the employees is not performing well it is not affect the Shangri-La Hotel much but if an investor is stop invest in Shangri-La Hotel or director is making a small mistake of making a decision. This might direct influence the Shangri-La Hotel if the problem is serious. 2.2 The importance of stakeholder Why are the stakeholders such important to Shangri-La Hotel? As we all know that, customer, supplier, worker is part of the stakeholders of Shangri-La Hotel. Below are shown explanation about the importance of stakeholder. 2.2.1 Customer Customers are important to Shangri-La Hotel this is because if the customers of Shangri-La Hotel is feel satisfy with the service that provided by the Hotel it means that, the customer will automatically become the promotion of the hotel. Robert Kuok knows that customers satisfaction is one of the main reasons that he could get for more customers. Customer was part of tool to help the Shangri-La Hotel promote; in the other word, when the customer feel satisfy with the Hotel they will mention to their friends and family. This kind of mouth-to-mouth promote is much better than an advertisement thus, it doesnt use any cost. There will generate more new customers within this kind of promotion and at the same time royal customers will exist too. 2.2.2 Supplier Supplier was one of the stakeholders which can influence the Shangri-La Hotel. Why is supplier important to Shangri-La Hotel? Is can be explain as Shangri-La Hotel is provided services which means the quality of raw material which supply by the supplier is important and must high quality so that Shangri-La Hotel is provided a good quality services to customers. However, the supplier should deliver the raw material in time so that the Shangri-La Hotel had enough time to produce. Shangri-La Hotel is included provide food in restaurant and service of hotel. Hotel is a place that needs to renew all the stuff inside the room everyday example, towel, mattress, shampoo, and so on. This all material is needed every day by the hotel in other to provide a good service to the customer. Moreover, the restaurant also needs a good supplier to supply fresh food to the hotel. Without a fresh food, the restaurant cant provide a good quality food to the customer. As a result, supplier is important to Shangri-La Hotel and without a good supplier it can direct effect or influence the performance of Shangri-La Hotel. 2.2.3 Workers The last part is Workers. As all know that, workers in an organization are playing an important characteristic which is help the organization to move forward and achieve the goal. So as Shangri-La Hotel, workers are important because if an organization is without any workers, the organization is considered as not functioning. The ability of the workers also can influence the performance of the Shangri-La hotel because the good workers will help the organization to achieve the objective or goals. However, there are not all workers is perform well in their work. This kind of workers should give some advised and hope they will change through the counselling. A good worker is influence the performance of Shangri-La Hotel. 2.3 Mapping of Stakeholder Stakeholder Oppose Neutral Support Supplier XX Customer X X Worker X X Task 3 (Loc 1: Ac 3) Identify and briefly the terms organizational audit and environmental audit. Select two internal and two external factors to SKL. Explain how you would conduct an audit for these. 3.0 Definition of audit The audit is means by which a company can understand how it relates to the environment in which it operates. It is the means by which a company can identify its own strengths and weaknesses as they relate to external opportunities and threats. It is thus a way of helping management to select a position in that environment based on known factors. (McDonald, 1989, p21) 3.1 Organizational Audit Organizational Audit was also known as internal audit. Internal audit get information from management, marketing, financial/accounting, production/operations, research development, and management information systems. I am going to explain about two internal audit factors to Shangri-La Hotel. First, I would like to explain about management. In Shangri-La Hotel, management is one of the tools to manage the whole organization move forward. Besides that, management function consists of planning, organizing, motivation, controlling and also leading. This all element is very important to for a manager to manage the organization. Example, Shangri-La Hotel chairman, Edward Kuok Khoon Loong should know well about the element of management so that the workers will be more effective and efficient. Furthermore, the second internal factors need to be explain is marketing which also playing an important role for the Shangri-La Hotel. Without a good marketing department, Shangri-La Hotel cant organize with properly and this will influence the performance. A marketing department of Shangri-La Hotel is needed to plan for more promotion or advertisement about the hotel so that there are more people know about the hotel. Besides that, the hotel needed to implement about the marketing strategies so they can maintain in a high level of performance. 3.2 Environmental Audit Environmental audit was also known as external audit. In external audit I am choosing two external factors to Shangri-La Hotel. The first external audit is supplier. Supplier is able to audit an organization because an organization is needs the supplier to supply the ingredient, material or product needed by particular organization. Example, Shangri-La Hotels supplier was make a mistake on supply wrong material or wrong amount this will direct effected the performance of the day. However, Shangri-La Hotel has to be careful in choosing a good supplier. First of all, they have to identify the supplier after that evaluate about the supplier next is deciding to choose which supplier. As a result, good supplier is making a profit to an organization. The second external audit is government where playing an important role too; this is because government is able to control the Shangri-La Hotel before they want to make any event or planning. Example, Shangri-La Hotel had to apply and get the license on the business first before they start any planning or construction. Moreover, government will have to check the Shangri-La Hotels operation make sure that there is no illegal thing happen. The government is the way prevents the illegal thing happen. Besides that, when the government had to make any meeting or any event with other country they could choose Shangri-La Hotel as the place to operate the entire event. As the result, government is a good external audit to Shangri-La Hotel. Task 4 (Loc 1: Ac 4) Select and explain two strategic positioning techniques that you would propose to SKL. 4. 0 Definition of positioning Positioning is refer to the development of a distinct image for the product or service in the mind of the consumer, an image that will differentiate the offering from competing ones and squarely communicate to the target audience that the particular product or service will fulfill their needs better than competing brands. (Leon G S. and Leslie L.K 2007, pg 7) 4.1 Strategies Positioning There are few strategic of positioning which consists of product, service, location and image and I would like to explain two type strategic of positioning which is service and location. 4.1.1 Service Shangri-La Hotel desires to develop a distinct image for the service in the mind of customers. The first step is Shangri-La Hotel should determine about the service quality of the hotel, thus hotel image is good and the customer will come back again. Other than that, Shangri-La Hotel also need to provide a good service in all concept which included helping the customers take luggage to the room, when customer is calling for customer service Shangri-La Hotel should fulfill all the demand required from the customers. In the other word the positioning can be improve by more value for more price. 4.1.2 Location Location of Shangri-La Hotel is a good strategic place for business. From the map we can see that there is much other company such as shopping mall, kl tower, and big company and so on. With this strategy place, Shangri-La Hotel will easy to get more customers because if the tourist come to Malaysia they will choose Shangri-La Hotel since this hotel is near to go everywhere. Moreover, the workers of the other company will come to Shangri-La hotel to having a breakfast, lunch, tea time, or dinner because Shangri-La Hotel is provide restaurant. Other than that, if the client of the other company which is near to Shangri-La Hotel where they come from other country, they will choose to stay at Shangri-La Hotel. It is because the location is near the company and its providing a high quality service. Task 5 (Loc 2: Ac 1) Design and explain the steps in strategies planning process. Please use diagrams if necessary. 5.0 Steps strategies planning process VISION AND MISSION I FORMULATION FORMULATION LONG TERM OBJECTIVE GENERATE, EVALUATE, SELECT STRATEGIES IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES MANAGEMENT ISSUES II IMPLEMENTATION IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES MARKETING, FINENCE, ACCOUNT, R D, CIS III EVALUATION MEASURE EVALUATE PERFORMANCE. 5.1 Explanation of strategies planning process Step 1- Vision and Mission The mission statement describes the companys business vision which including the unchanging values and purpose of the firm and forward-looking visionary goals that guide the pursuit of future opportunities. The Death Of Robert F. Kennedy Essay -- essays research papers fc

The assassination of Robert F. Kennedy and its effects on the modern world. Robert Francis Kennedy was born on November 20, 1925 in Brookline Massachusetts. He was the seventh child, and third son of Rose Fitzgerald and Joe Kennedy . "I was the seventh of nine children," he later recalled, "and when you come from that far down you have to struggle to survive."( Alden Whitman, 2001).Compared to his brothers, Robert or Bobby as they all called him, was smaller and he struggled to match his brothers athleticism. As a child Robert had a robust enthusiasm for history. It was his favorite subject in grammar school. At the age of 11, Robert wanted some independence so he got his own newspaper route.( Joe Geringer,1995). He had to get up early in the morning before school to deliver the daily paper. This grueling work schedule would prove to help him learn dedication that was needed to become a successful individual. After high school he attended Portsmouth Academy. After attending school there, he attended Milton Academy to better prepare him for Harvard . Before attending Harvard, he had to put in military service in the Navy during war time. In 1944, he began to attend Harvard University. In 1948 he received his degree in government. Three years later he earned his degree in law from University of Virginia. Education was very important to to Kennedy family, his parents would dicuss history and education at the dinner table "I can hardly remember a mealtime," Robert Kennedy said, "when the conversation was not dominated by what Franklin D. Roosevelt was doing or what was happening in the world."(Alden Whitman, 2001) In 1950, Robert married Ethel Skakel of Greenwich, Connecticut she was the daughter of Ann and George Skakel, founder of Great Lakes Carbon Corporation. (Alden Whitman, 2001). The couple later had eleven children. In 1952, his brother John ran for Senate. This is the year that Robert made his political debate as manager of his brother's successful Senate campaign. In 1953 he briefly served on a Senate Subcommittee of Investigations. Thanks to his investigative skills Kennedy helped confirm that some United States allies during the war against communist China and Korea were shipping the countries goods. He resigned after six months because he didn't approve of Joseph McCarthy's tactics.(Alden Whitman, 2001... ... Kennedy had made it very clear that he supported Israel so being an Arab Sirhan felt the only option he had was to kill him.( Joe Geringer,1995) Sirhan had a swift trail and was sentenced to death. The world mourned the lost of an up and coming leader. Many felt that had he lived he would have become the next president of the United States. Many African Americans were deeply saddened because he had desperately fought for their rights. With the conviction of Sirhan many Americans felt that justice had been served. Yet some felt no sentence was good enough to make up for what he stole, a true American leader. Works Cited Page 1. Importance of Friends Essay

â€Å"The silver friend knows your present and the gold friend knows all of your past dirt and glories. Once in a blue moon there is someone who knows it all, someone who knows and accepts you unconditionally, someone who is there for life.† This is a quote I read once in an article by Jill McCorkle in my cousin’s house. McCorkle’s description of a â€Å"gold friend† describes a friendship that I have with a group of girls who mean the world to me. These friends are the pearls of my life. This word bears its great meaning to me and only to those who could understand the greatness of its meaning. It’s something sacred, it needs to be cherished and build up for many years with much care. It’s a complex, magical process, which must contain fluid that will start spinning the wheel. Let me tell you something about my friends. When I was a freshman in high school, I became friends with these girls-Guia,Krisha, Carla, Magz, Cj, Jian, and Chantel. Since the beginning of that year, we have all been best friends. There were many times we rode around together. However, this particular Jeep ride was very significant because I realized what friendship is all about. One Tuesday night, we all went to Greenwich in SM, except Chantel, and eat there with the parents of Guia because it was the celebration of her birthday. This experienced will remain and will never be erased from me because it was one of the happiest things that had happened to me. Friendship like ours was something many people had never experienced. To me, the significance of our relationship is a unique bond that I feel with these ladies. They are like sisters that God did not give me. They have been there for me at times when my world was falling apart. As I finally drifted off to sleep that night, I thanked God for allowing me to have them in my life. These eight girls, including RIchel of course, have been my guardian angels. I have always been able to count on them, no matter what the situation is. They have helped me face the next day when I did not know if it was possible. We have been through everything; we have laughed, cried, and then laughed at ourselves for crying together. There have been many times when I have been lonely and I reminisce back to the experiences I had with them. It reminds me that there are people who care about me and accept me for who I am. A true friendship is a magnificent thing and as Talbot Jennings said â€Å"Friend is the finest word in any language. Life without friends is a life I could not imagine.

Secrets about my past Essays - Nana, The Locket, Free Essays

Secrets about my past Essays - Nana, The Locket, Free Essays Secrets about my past Dark shadows ran past me as the icy cold wind made me shiver, where am I, I wondered I was in an empty space, an empty space full of nothing. I started to run as if the police was chasing me what was I scared of? I dont need to run I can just stay here and wait, but I didnt stop running until a hand grabbed me then- and thats when I got up from my dream. Im starting to have nightmares every night ever since last week Thursday. The day I found a gold locket. Today is Wednesday I have library the best time to escape and relax from Nate. Nate is my closet friend hes sometimes funny and helpful but he is also annoying! I grabbed a book from the H section called History about a princess this is where I found the locket in the very first few pages I thought the locket was someone elses so I tried to give it in to the counter but a strange strong feeling started to grow inside me I tried to ignore it. I walked closer to the counter, but next minute before I knew I was walking out of the library picking my bag up and popping the locket in to my school skirt pocket and without thinking I started to run, without looking back. Its lunchtime so I walked to the girls bathroom I re-do my hair and straighten my uniform and opened my skirt pocket to get my lip gloss, but instead I got the locket out and again the strange feeling started to grow inside me again. I stared at the locket and finally noticed you can open this locket, a small little pick dot was on the locket, no wonder I am so stupid. I tried to open the locket but it wouldnt open why isnt this stupid locket opening? I grumbled. After a few tries I gave up when suddenly my mind went blank and a dark strange voice started to tell me to go to the library. I walked to the library and grabbed the book where I got the locket from and I started to read then my mind came back I found myself reading, what the-? How did I come here? I sigh deeply and was about to close the book when I stopped and saw the word LUCIA, I opened the book properly and started to read since it had my name. But after a few minutes I was so shocked about what I was reading in 1864 a young girl called LUCIA CHLOE SAZCHA? Thats exactly same as my full name and at the age of 16 in 1880 she died I continued to read, the place of birth, date of birth and family names were so identical with me, all this information this girl had was same as me shes like my long lost twin sister! Except I dont have a twin sister. Essay English Essay Example Essay English Essay Essay English Essay Essay Topic: The Secret Life Of Bees I am a firm believer that parents should be parents and not friends. When this friendship occurs some parents take it to the extreme. Judith Warner states in Helicopter Parenting Turns Deadly that parents of teenagers should not act like teenagers, dress like teenagers, or talk Like teenagers. Parents should behave Like the grown-ups they are presumed to be, not adolescents. When It comes down to It being a helicopter parent, parents tend to be overly involved at an extreme level, blow a gasket about normal teen stuff, and leave out important aspects of the parent-child allegations. Megan Meier was an average teenager that became the victim of an overly involved parent. Lori Drew got hung up on what was being said about her daughter, and her daughters reputation, that It cause Megan to take her own life. Lori went to an extreme. Parents arent all sick like Lori Drew and Wanda Webb Holloway, states Warner. Wanda Holloway, similar to Mrs.. Drew, is sick. She hired a Whitman to kill the mother of her daughters cheer rival. These two mothers are Just a small example of how parents can really blow a gasket, although, some are more mentally stable with he results. That Is the disturbing degree to which todays parents and mothers In patellar- frequently lose themselves when they get caught trying to smooth out. Or steamroll over, the social challenges faced by their children, exclaims Judith Warner. The middle/high schools years are the hardest in any teens life. They will get picked on for not wearing the expensive, name brand clothes, but Just because that is the case does not mean the parents should go buy these items Just to help the social status. IT IS NOT NECESSARY! In twenty years, it will not matter how much your clothes cost. There are no boundaries In parent-child relationships In present time. People now feel Like having a good relationship with your child means youre Involved In ever aspect of your childs life, says Roseland Washman author of Queen Bees Wannabes. There should be secrets between mother and daughter, father and son, and vice versa. It is only healthy, and honestly not all things require a parents input. There should be limitations, and privacy. These aspects built into a relationship with a child will create the strongest of bonds. Parents get overly Involved, blow a gasket about normal things, and leave out important things out of the parent-child relationship. A teen in these years will go though many tribulations, the last things they need is an overly involved parent taking extreme actions on everyday situations. These trials will shape the child into the young adult they will become. My advice to parents is to take a step back and wait till your held asks you for your insight on a situation.
